Chair Yoga in person at The Newark Public Library FREE

Saturday afternoons 2-3 pm
January 10 - March 21, 2026 (skip Feb 21)

Begin 2026 in the right seat with Chair Yoga for less active individuals, older adults, or those with limited mobility. This yoga class with chair adaptations of tradional yoga postures will you get back into your body feeling stronger, more open, refreshed and renewed.

Mat Yoga follows Chair Yoga. Both classes provide opportunity for experiential learning of classical yoga philosophy (e.g., non-violence, tolerance, self-study) through exploration of yoga postures. Detailed instruction with component breakdown of postures supporting strength, mobility, mindfulness, self-study, stress reduction, healing and transformation. 

Recordings of sessions will be availalbe for a limited time for those who have attended. In addition, you're invited to free online yoga philosophy sessions with Q & A.
